Tocopheryl polyethylene glycol succinate (TPGS)-lactobionic acid conjugate (TLA), which is attached to the surface of the polymersome, TPGS acts as a P-gp inhibitor (TPGS), and lactbionic acid acts as an ASGPR (asialoglycoprotein receptor) ligand, which endows the polymersome with the capacity to target hepatocellular carcinoma and accumulate inside tumor cells through the combined effects of P-gp inhibition and receptor-mediated endocytosis. This evidence concerns the gene PGP and hepatocellular carcinoma.
