MAPT and Alzheimer disease: Finally, integrating QPP and cPCA derived metrics with structural MRI, PET, and electrophysiological measures could clarify how functional spatiotemporal disruption relates to amyloid and tau burden, atrophy, and altered electrophysiological rhythms, and whether the observed network sequence mirrors known patterns of protein spread and network disconnection in AD, moving toward multimodal biomarkers that better capture the complexity of AD progression.
