CALR and neurosyphilis: Extensive evaluation, including cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) studies with IL-6, antinuclear antibody, myeloperoxidase-antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody and proteinase 3-antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody, anti-SS-A/Ro and anti-SS-B/La antibodies, lupus anticoagulant and antiphospholipid antibody panel (anticardiolipin and β2-glycoprotein I antibodies), protein C and protein S activity, total homocysteine, and α-galactosidase A activity, was unremarkable (Table 1). Neurosyphilis relapse was excluded by both serological and CSF testing.
