Regarding the Pearson Correlation Coefficient between stage III and IV periodontal parameters and the salivary biomarkers, there was a significant relationship (p<0.05) in stage III periodontitis between citH3 and CAL as well as between CALPRO and each of (PLI, PPD, and CAL), whereas in stage IV periodontitis, the correlation was significant only between MPO and CAL, as shown inTable 5. Here, MPO is linked to periodontitis.
