M3 sensors within the high vimentin expression regions consistently reported lower local stress (3.5 ± 2.8 kPa) compared with those located in vimentin-negative regions (7.4 ± 2.8 kPa), supporting the notion that EMT-rich zones correspond to mechanically more fluid-like microenvironments within the tumor (Fig. 4d).
