This study hypothesized that epigenetic processes, including DNA methylation, influence the expression of identified CG or testis-specific genes, such as SYCP1, ADAD1, SYCE1, PRSS54, DMRTC2, and TEX101, in breast cancer (BC), normal breast (NB), and chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML) cell lines. The gene discussed is TEX101; the disease is breast cancer.
