The rs3208684 SNP disrupts the binding of miR‐let‐7b to the 3’UTR of Bcl-xl, leading to the increased expression of this gene, effectively suppressing or disrupting the binding of let‐7b to its target and subsequently improving sensitivity to 5‐FU through downregulation of Bcl-xl in HCC [52, 54]. This evidence concerns the gene BCL2L1 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
