UNC5D is under-expressed in renal cell carcinoma (KIRC) due to promoter methylation, which removes EMT inhibition, and co-methylation with NTN1 cooperates with EZH2 to drive metastasis40,46, suggesting that abnormal expression/mutation of NTN1 and its receptor is significantly associated with activation of the EMT pathway, suggesting that it may participate in the regulation of tumor progression. Here, UNC5D is linked to renal cell carcinoma.
