Tau hyperphosphorylation is reported to be involved in the regulation of multiple other neurodegenerative diseases, including frontotemporal dementia with parkinsonism‐17 (FTDP‐17), Pick disease (PiD), argyrophilic grain disease (AGD), and corticobasal degeneration (CBD), which are collectively known as tauopathies [44].
