These analyses revealed that mitosis-related hub genes were closely associated with cancer cell viability, especially those hub genes that were correlated with multiple cancer types, such as CDC20, TOP2A, BIRC5, and TPX2 (Hwang et al., 1998; Uusküla-Reimand and Wilson, 2022; Lamers et al., 2011; Wittmann et al., 2000; Figure 2—figure supplement 4A–C).
