Laboratory evaluation revealed suppressed gonadotropins (LH <0.30 mIU/mL, FSH <0.30 mIU/mL), paradoxically elevated serum testosterone (2.05 ng/mL), and increased levels of hCG (7.6 mIU/mL) and AFP (13.3 ng/mL), findings consistent with gonadotropin-independent precocious puberty. The gene discussed is AFP; the disease is precocious puberty.
