Given its rarity, ALK-negative ALCL must be carefully distinguished from other more common gastrointestinal lymphomas, including classical Hodgkin lymphoma (CHL), diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), and various T-cell lymphomas such as enteropathy-associated T-cell lymphoma (EATL), monomorphic epitheliotropic intestinal T-cell lymphoma (MEITL), extranodal NK/T-cell lymphoma (ENKTCL), and intestinal T-cell lymphoma, NOS [2]. The gene discussed is ALK; the disease is T-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
