The analysis of the T-cell subtypes based on differentiation stage showed a significant decrease of the CD8+ TEMRA proportion in HLH (19.73% vs. 31.90%, p = 0.006), and the CD8+ Tnaive cells in patients with HLH were higher than that in the controls, although the difference was not statistically significant (p = 0.210) (Figure 1E). This evidence concerns the gene CD8A and hemophagocytic syndrome.
