Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathway analysis further showed enrichment of genes involved in neuroactive ligand–receptor interaction, protein digestion and absorption, PI3K–Akt signaling, cardiac muscle contraction, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, ECM–receptor interaction, cell cycle regulation, complement and coagulation cascades, and Staphylococcus aureus infection (Figure 5B). The gene discussed is AKT1; the disease is hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
