INS and Global developmental delay: The final diagnosis included: permanent neonatal diabetes mellitus secondary to absent insulin-producing beta cells; severe exocrine pancreatic insufficiency due to complete absence of acinar tissue; secondary neurological complications including epileptic encephalopathy following post-influenza intracerebral hemorrhage; chronic lung disease consequent to ARDS; congenital right renal hypoplasia; and global developmental delay attributable to combined effects of extreme IUGR, critical illness, and neurological injury.
