In the STEP HFpEF trial (Semaglutide Treatment Effect in People with Obesity and Heart Failure with Preserved Ejection Fraction), 2.4 mg weekly reduced body weight by 13.3% and improved functional metrics, including Kansas City Cardiomyopathy Questionnaire - Clinical Summary Score (KCCQ-CSS) (+16.6 points), 6-minute walk distance (6MWD) (+21.5 m), and C-reactive protein (CRP) (-43.5%) vs. placebo.
