Therefore, in this study we hypothesized that sRAGE, as a modulator of the RAGE-mediated inflammatory response, can further stratify high-risk individuals with type 1 diabetes and TRH with regards to incident coronary artery disease (CAD), stroke, and end-stage kidney disease (ESKD) and thereby identify the individuals at the highest risk. This evidence concerns the gene AGER and type 1 diabetes mellitus.
