Additional studies and case reports, using Ki-67 immunochemistry (often via the MIB-1 antibody), have consistently demonstrated low proliferative indices in both sporadic and VHL-associated hemangioblastomas [4, 18–21].These findings support the notion that hemangioblastomas, regardless of genetic background or anatomical location, typically exhibit low proliferative activity. The gene discussed is VHL; the disease is hemangioblastoma.
