Similarly, HK2 positivity was significantly reduced in treated tumors compared to untreated (1.56 ± 0.25 vs 5.24 ± 0.68; p = < 0.01), suggesting lower glycolytic activity, likely attributed to the loss of viable tumor cells within the cryoablation zone as evidenced by histological necrosis.
