KAZALD1 and breast cancer: Analysis of the common features of DEGs in three cell models revealed that only four genes were downregulated in all cell models exposed to Cd: AMDHD1, encoding a protein protective against breast cancer [351,352], KAZALD1, associated with hypermethylation in malignant pleural mesothelioma [353,354], KLHDC9, associated with lung adenocarcinoma [355], and RAB26, associated with important regulators of vesicular fusion and transport [356], and breast cancer cell migration and invasion [351].
