BAG3 and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease: Indeed, notably, serum BAG3 levels were more than two-fold higher in the cirrhosis/HCC subgroup (143.8 ± 245.1 pg/mL) than in the uncomplicated MASLD group (61.8 ± 220.9 pg/mL; p = 0.011), indicating a potential link between BAG3 concentrations in the sera and disease severity.
