The administration of BCAA augmented albumin synthesis in primary hepatocyte cultures [20] and in rats with liver injury [21], and recent meta-analyses [22,23,24] confirmed the efficiency of BCAA supplementation for increasing serum albumin in patients with liver cirrhosis [22], hepatocellular carcinoma [23], and other diseases requiring hepatic intervention [24]. This evidence concerns the gene ALB and hepatocellular carcinoma.
