Beyond germline mutations associated with TRAF7 syndrome and developmental delays, pathological somatic mutations also occur in TRAF7, which are associated with subsets of meningiomas, mesotheliomas, intraneural perineuriomas, and adenomatoid tumors of the genital tract (Yoshida et al. 2005; Zhang et al. 2021; Najm et al. 2021; Goode et al. 2018; Lenartowicz et al. 2023) (see Fig. 1). This evidence concerns the gene TRAF7 and perineurioma.
