The combination of dabrafenib (a BRAF inhibitor) and trametinib (a MEK inhibitor) has been approved by the FDA for treating advanced or metastatic melanoma, non-small cell lung cancer, and anaplastic thyroid cancer with BRAF V600E mutations, with reported objective response rates (ORRs) of 64%, 38%, and 56%, respectively (10–13). This evidence concerns the gene BRAF and non-small cell lung carcinoma.
