Compared to the control group, the hypothyroid group exhibited systolic hypotension, diastolic hypertension, arrhythmia, higher cardiac enzymes, dyslipidemia, impaired liver functions, upregulated hepatic stearoyl-CoA desaturase 1 expression, lower hepatic low-density lipoprotein receptor concentration, cardiomyopathy, and focal hepatic fibrosis.
