TF and Iron deficiency anemia: Though better in G4, these results were comparable with ferrous sulfate supplement group (G5), which also showed improvement in iron deficiency anemia and concentrations of serum iron, serum ferritin and transferrin saturation were found to increase whereas, a significant decrease in serum transferrin (12.8 ± 2.28 %) and TIBC (391.78 ± 64.4 μg/L) in comparison with positive control group was observed.
