Since the discovery of synthetic lethal interaction between inhibition of poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) and BRCA1 or BRCA2 mutation [31,32], clinically approved PARP inhibitors (PARPi) have shown promising activity in the treatment of BRCA1/2 mutated breast cancer [33,34].
