CD4 and tuberculosis: There was some evidence that HIV-positive patients with CD4+ T-cell counts between 200 and 500 have higher odds of an unfavorable TB treatment outcome [OR: 2.04; 95% CI: (0.98, 4.19)] than HIV-negative patients, but no evidence that HIV-positive patients with CD4+ T-cell counts above 500 have higher odds of an unfavorable outcome [OR: 1.33; 95% CI: (0.55, 3.02)] as compared to HIV-negative patients.
