Lia et al. suggested that curcumin could attenuate oxidative stress and renal fibrosis caused by acetaldehyde by activating the NRF2 signaling cascade to reduce MDA content and increase the levels of SOD, CAT, glutathione peroxidase (GPX), glutathione reductase (GR) and GSH (Li et al., 2019). Here, GSR is linked to renal fibrosis.
