Collectively, this study demonstrates that CumAIP (the pre-baseline time-weighted average of 2012–2015 CHARLS AIP values, which reflects long-term sustained dyslipidemia) exhibits an independent positive association with BDRM-estimated dementia risk in Chinese adults participating in the CHARLS cohort, with a mean age of 61.4 ± 8.5 years. Here, AIP is linked to dementia.
