ANGPTL4 and infection: Besides its unique broad and potentially universal induction in senescent cells as shown in our study, ANGPTL4 participates in the regulation of pathophysiological processes that could be linked with cellular senescence, including cancer (Yan et al. 2021), fibrosis (Saito et al. 2023), inflammation (Wu et al. 2016), and infection (Li et al. 2015), reinforcing the potential significance of this SASP factor in contributing to senescence‐dependent effects.
