SOX10 and schwannoma: Ancient schwannomas are ultimately diagnosed at a gold standard through histological analysis, which shows hyalinization, nuclear atypia, and hemosiderin deposition without conspicuous mitotic activity [2]. In this case, biopsy demonstrated monomorphic nuclei, indistinct cytoplasmic borders without necrosis, and strong immunostaining positivity for SOX10 and S100 markers, confirming the diagnosis.
