(2023) also showed that CLIC4 supports redox homeostasis and mitochondrial function in 6DT1 breast tumor cells, as knockdown of CLIC4 expression in these cells led to increased ROS and superoxide levels, making the cells more vulnerable to oxidative damage (Al Khamici et al., 2022).
