The results of the pathway enrichment analysis revealed that these mutated genes are involved in p53 binding, nuclear receptor binding, and phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase complex activity and are enriched mainly in cancer-related pathways, such as the PI3K-Akt-mTOR, DNA repair, p53, and Notch signaling pathways, along with processes related to cell morphology and the environmental response (Fig. 3C and D). This evidence concerns the gene PIK3CA and cancer.
