TRIM24 has previously been identified as a rare 5’ fusion partner with BRAF and MET genes18,28 and has once been reported as a partner to NTRK2 in one case with lung adenocarcinoma29 TRIM24 is a transcriptional regulator and potential oncogenic driver in glioma and has been shown to play a pivotal role in drug resistance, STAT3 mediated migration30, transcriptional control31, and maintenance of glioma stem cells32.
