Recent gene expression analysis in MDA-MB-468 derived ALDH1+ and ALDH1- cells, along with GSEA, identified strong associations of oxidative phosphorylation and c-Myc targets in ALDH1+ cells35, resembling the profiles of HNSCC cells co-cultured with Cav2+/+ nerves in our study. This evidence concerns the gene ALDH1A1 and head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.
