Future research endeavors should be bifurcated into two facets: first, further investigating the correlation between MetS, stroke, and KLK1 levels under varying diagnostic criteria for MetS; and second, conducting basic medical research to unravel the molecular mechanisms at play and explore the therapeutic potential of modulating KLK1 activity in the management of cerebrovascular disorders linked to MetS.
