NPPB and Shock: Independent predictors of in‐hospital mortality in the final model included age (OR 1.038 per year, 95% CI: 1.013–1.064, p = 0.003), chronic kidney disease (OR 1.987, 95% CI: 1.045–3.778, p = 0.036), cardiogenic shock (OR 4.234, 95% CI: 2.012–8.912, p < 0.001), elevated NT‐proBNP (OR 1.456 per log unit, 95% CI: 1.123–1.888, p = 0.005), elevated hs‐troponin I (OR 1.234 per log unit, 95% CI: 1.034–1.472, p = 0.020), and elevated C‐reactive protein (OR 1.189 per log unit, 95% CI: 1.012–1.397, p = 0.035).
