The results revealed an increased proportion of TREM1+ Mφ, characterized by the high IL1B expression, in periodontitis, eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE), IBD, and perianal fistulizing Crohn’s disease (Perianal-CD) (Fig. 6b, c, and Fig. S5a–c). This evidence concerns the gene TREM1 and inflammatory bowel disease.
