In our work, as shown in Figs.2A and B, western blot analysis indicated a dose- and time-dependent elevation in the levels of caspase-3 and PARP cleavage products in SU.86.86 cells, suggesting that pegaspargase-induced apoptosis in pancreatic cancer cells was linked to the activation of caspase-3. The gene discussed is PARP1; the disease is pancreatic neoplasm.
