Specifically, intracerebral infusion of H-α-SynOs induces the accumulation of p-α-Syn in several retinal layers, reduces TH expression in dopaminergic cells potentially reflecting phenotypic impairment, alters the expression of PD-related miRNAs (notably miR-384-5p), and suppresses the neuroprotective factor SIRT1. This evidence concerns the gene TH and Parkinson disease.
