In this study, LPS-induced ALI significantly upregulated expression of the TLR4, MyD88, and NLRP3 proteins, along with increased NF-κB phosphorylation, leading to an inflammatory storm characterized by excessive secretion of inflammatory factors, pulmonary epithelial cell damage, and increased vascular permeability. The gene discussed is NFKB1; the disease is acute respiratory distress syndrome.
