Krabbe disease (KD, OMIM # 245200) is an LSD caused by mutations in the GALC gene, leading to a deficiency of galactocerebrosidase (GALC) and accumulation of the glycolipids galactosylceramide (GalCer) and sulfatide (Maghazachi, 2023). This evidence concerns the gene GALC and Krabbe disease.
