In a study, ganoderic acid (GA)-D affected several prostate cancer proteins in vitro that were later subjected to protein interaction network analysis in silico that revealed heat shock protein 90 kDa alpha member A1 (HSP90AA1), heat shock cognate 71 kDa protein (HSPA8), and exportin 1 (XPO1) as putative mechanistic components of GA-D’s anticancer effects [138]. This evidence concerns the gene HSP90AA1 and Familial prostate cancer.
