HTR2A and Delusion: Aripiprazole, a partial dopamine D2 receptor/serotonin 5-hydroxytryptamine 1A receptor (D2/5-HT1A) agonist and serotonin 5-hydroxytryptamine 2A (5-HT2A) antagonist, has been shown to reduce hallucinations and delusions within 2–6 weeks, with early clinical response (≤3 weeks) predicting sustained symptomatic improvement in adolescents [6,7,9].
