The adverse effects of classic medication in diabetes can be hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia—sudden fluctuations in blood glucose levels can cause severe complications [19]; systemic side effects—long-term administration of these classes of drugs can cause nausea, gastrointestinal disorders and other side effects in the body [20]; and insulin resistance—in some cases, patients may develop insulin tolerance, thus complicating long-term treatment [21]. This evidence concerns the gene INS and diabetes mellitus.
