Our previous work confirmed the validity of the Rac1–NADPH oxidase pathway in ELMO1-driven ROS production, as oral inhibition of Rac (EHT1864) or Nox4 each partially mitigated cardiomyopathy, while pan-NADPH oxidase inhibition (VAS3947) markedly prevented it. This evidence concerns the gene FMO5 and cardiomyopathy.
