AFP and neoplasm: A total of 84.2% of the patients had underlying viral hepatitis (B or C virus infection), 162 patients (50%) had a tumor size larger than 8 cm, 55 patients (17%) had tumor numbers greater than 10, 51% of patients had alpha-fetal protein (AFP) levels higher than 400 ng/mL, and 86.4% were classified as Child–Pugh class A when HAIC treatment began.
