Notably, several cross-trait effects we uncovered have been previously associated with nervous system development (CRHR1 and MAPT) [33,34], inflammatory response (WNT3 and GPX1) [35,36], and cell proliferation (KANSL1 and MIR2113) [37,38], highlighting possible pathways that link mental health to lung function and respiratory diseases. Here, KANSL1 is linked to respiratory system disorder.
