Nonparametric Spearman’s rank correlation analysis revealed that the GFAP level was positively correlated with the CERAD score in AD patients and NCs (p = 0.0003, r = 0.4719 in CA1; p = 0.0049, r = 0.3922 in CA2/3; p = 0.010, r = 0.4292 in the DG; p = 0.0095, r = 0.3531 in the Sub) (Fig. 4a, e, SFig. 4a, b). This evidence concerns the gene GFAP and Alzheimer disease.
